Casserres
Casserres is a common of the community of Catalogne in Spain, located in the Province of Barcelona. It belongs to the Comarque of Berguedà.
Several assumptions exist concerning the origin of this name; most commonly allowed is that it would derive from (low?)Latin " castrum serris" , " the castle of the montagnes". The castle in question, probably located on the site of current Ajuntament (Town hall), disappeared today.
