Casino of Montreal

The Casino of Montreal is located on the island Notre-Dame at Montreal, in the old house of France of the World Fair of 1967. It is managed by the Société of the casinos of Quebec which is a subsidiary company of Lotto-Quebec.

History

The Casino of Montreal was inaugurated the 9 October 1993. In 1994, the casino was increased first once. In 1996, a second enlarging made it possible to add a theater.

Description

Removal

In June 2005, Lotto-Quebec proposed the establishment of a complex of entertainment of international gauge on the site of the Peel basin, in the sector of Le Havre of Montreal. Anecdote

In April 1994, Daniel Corriveau gains 600.000 CAD while playing Keno of the Casino of Montreal. He managed to select 19 of the 20 gaining numbers three times of continuation. Corriveau jointly affirms to have used a computer with the Théorie of chaos to detect a tendency in the sequence of the numbers. It was revealed later that the sequence had been made simpler to predict because of the use, by the casino, of a Générateur of pseudo-random numbers inadequate. In fact, the electronic machine of Keno was started again daily in the same initial state, producing each day the same sequence of numbers. For some, this profit is illicit, but Corriveau legally has enfreint no law while thus acting.
