Caserte

Caserte (in Italian, Caserta ) is a Italian city of the Province of Caserte in Campanie.

Capital of province of recent origin (18th century) close to the majestic castle of Charles III of Bourbon. It took the name of the old town of Casertavecchia. The city is today an important agricultural center thanks to its favorable geographical position. It is indeed with the margins of the fertile named plain " Terra del Lavoro (Ground of Work) " (of the name of the former inhabitants, Leborini).

Caserte developed very quickly during the 19th century. Today, the city has a modern aspect: in the center, the beautiful church of San Sebastiano, the work of Luigi Vanvitelli architect of the palate of Caserta, and the cathedral of the 19th century
