The cases are used to pack goods, for example:
- of the products in several parts, which must be delivered together.
- of the fragile equipment which should imperatively be protected (of rust, the flight, the shocks…)
- of the deformed materials, which are much more easily transported in a parallelepiped than if they remain posed on a pallet on which one could nothing pose.
Constitution
The cases out of wood are manufactured in several parts which are then assembled either before Livraison, or at the customer. In this case they are delivered in kit.

the base, if it is not linked, is either a Palette with dice, or a Palette with rafters
- two large sides identical
- two small sides identical
- a lid
Certain models of cases out of fastened plywood, are delivered flat, they are collapsible cases.
One also speaks about American case, it is then a corrugated cardboard case.
There exist from now on plastic cases, they are reusable articles, with use of domestic arrangement or industrial handling. In order to take less place in the trucks at the time of the trip empty, the majority are collapsible or encasable.
The cases with tide are very much used in shouted and fishing ports. Property of the exploiting organization, they are filled at sea at the time of fishing and are directly put at the sale with the professionals who restore them later empty. They are of course out of plastic. By a clever realization, they are two-tone: by aligning the colors they are encased and do not take a place; by alternating the colors, they pile up and do not crush the contents.
