History

In 1973 Neil Bogart created the label of music whose name was inspired to him by the Casablanca film with Humphrey Bogart, actor of which it had taken the name. Its inspiration went until aménagemant of a counterpart of Rick' S American Café of the Casablanca film in their second offices on Sunset Boulevard that the employees adoptère like " the Casbah".

The major Warner Brothers who held the rights of this film financed the creation of the label. The group of proto Heavy metal KIS was the first success public of the label. The Alive album! pressed in 1975 was platinum disc.

The label Casablanca Records is above all related to the scene Disco.
