The Caryophyllidae are a subclass of plants Dicotylédone S. In Classification of Cronquist (1981) it includes/understands 3 orders:

  • subclass Caryophyllidae
* order Caryophyllales
* order Plumbaginales
* order Polygonal

In phylogenetic classification this subclass does not exist: this plants are assigned with the order Caryophyllales .
