Cartago , whose code name is P3X-1279 , is a fictitious planet of the universe of the Televised series Stargate SG-1 .
Description
Cartago is a timbered planet, about which the indigenous cultures speak a curious combination about English, of Latin and Greek.Local architecture is very primitive except the court. The dwellings of the population are installed close to the Porte of the stars, but Daniel Jackson noted that the population currently lives in tunnels and caves. These undergrounds were built to make it possible to the townsmen to hide Goa' uld, which often unload on Cartago to find hosts again.
Teal' C had already been visited Cartago before the mission of Sg-1. Indeed, Teal' C had come on Cartago while it was still under the command of Apophis to come to choose the new hosts who would be taken along on Chulak. 15 years ago, at the time of a visit of the Goa' uld, Teal' C had killed the father of a young boy for thus avoiding killing all the population as it had received the order from it. While arriving on planet with Sg-1, Teal' C was stopped and condemned to the local test, the Horn-have. It is only by protecting the inhabitants from Cartago at the time of an attack of the Goa' uld, that it was able to regain its freedom. The inhabitants of planet indicate the Porte of the stars as a " The Circle of Kakona" , a combination of Latin and Greek which means " The Circle of Malheurs".
