Cart (Isere)
Cart is a common French, located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps.
Geography
Cart is a small village distributed between the village and the hamlets of Chapieu, Vernay, Craz, Marcieu, Chalonne and Ecottier. It is located at 4 km in the west of Montalieu-Vercieu. A river, Furon, curves in the middle of a green and quiet landscape.
History
It is mentioned at the 15th century a strong House of Ecottier.

Along the roads, you will be able to discover some old interesting buildings, vestiges of last time:-
the vault of Craz in extreme cases of wood, existing already in 1613
- the strong house of Chassignon with its its superb pigeon
- and mullioned windows the strong house of Ecottier going back to 1413, located at 1,5 km of the village, on the road of Lyon, having sheltered several famous lords. At the XIXè century, acquired by the count de Virieu, it becomes a farm. It recently shelters the Pony Club of Ecottier.
- the castle of Vernay, built under Napoleon III, made it possible to the count de Chardonnet to discover the artificial silk wire.
You still can with foot or in VTT to furrow the small footpaths which will enable you to admire: the pond of Bryne, the cascade of Chapieu, the cascade of Cart…
