Carson City

Carson City is the capital of the American State of the Nevada. Its population in 2005 is of 57.104 inhabitants.

As much of cities of Nevada, Carson City was founded in 1858 to accompany the development by mining industry (of the money in this case). The city was baptized in the honor of the explorer Kit Carson. Not far the big city of Reno is.

Transport

Two important roads make it possible to join the city, U.S. Road 395 (North-South) and U.S. Road 50 (East-West). The Interstate 580, so known under the name of Carson City Freeway , is in construction at present. It will connect the city to Reno. The organization Regional Transportation System off Washoe County ( STN ) manages the grid system between Reno and Carson City. The October 3rd 2005, the bus of the city, Jump Around Carson ( JAC ), was opened with the public.
