Carpet of Saraband

The carpet of Saraband is a type of Persian carpet. They are woven in the mountainous region in the south of Arak and the east of Borujerd.

Description

The principal reason used is the boteh miri , with sometimes a central medallion rhombus, decorated with the boteh, and four corner pieces which take again the reasons for the edge, which is made up of narrow bands to the different and alternate colors, decorated with the boteh or geometrical reasons.

The fill colors are varied: blue, pink red and ivory.
