Carpet of Dwarf

The carpet of Na' in is a type of Persian carpet.

The carpet of Na' in owes its existence with the decline of weaving. The importation of Western fabrics having opposed the sale of the fabrics, the weavers of Na' in, considered for the quality of threads of their fabrics, are reflected to manufacture carpets which became excellent in a few years.

Description

The decoration of Na' in resembles much that of the Tapis of Esfahan. The field is also decorated there with tight interlacings of flowered branches, but the central medallion is rarer. Many carpets present vegetable and animalist reasons. The edge is made up of a central band and two secondary bands, which can also be framed of two narrow bands.

The colors are characteristic: beige, ivory and white, used on a bottom either clear green, or blue.
