Carpenters\' Hall
The Carpenters' Hall is a building of the 18th century of four stages, built by Robert Smith (1722-1777) in the town of Philadelphia to the the United States. Located on Chester Street in the City Center, it acted political as meeting room as from 1770. Its architecture géorgienne was classified historic building in 1970.
The First Congress continental, assembled delegates of the Thirteen American colonies at the XVIIIe century, meets in Caprtenters' Hall in September and October 1774, because the Pennsylvania State House ( Independence Hall ) was already occupied by the provincial assembly torie of Pennsylvania.
Today, Carpenters' Hall accommodates approximately: 150000 visitors each year
