Carpel tunnel

The carpel tunnel is located in the central part of the Poignet. It is an axis of passage of which form part the tendons which allow the movements of the Doigt S, inserted them same in their synovial sheaths, as well as the median Nerf which innèrve the inch, the index, the major one and partially the annular one.

The carpel tunnel is delimited on the one hand by the Os carpus which constitute of them the floor and the sides, and by the transverse Ligament carpien which forms the roof of it.

The Syndrome of the carpel tunnel appears by pains and a numbness of the hand related to the compression of the median nerve. This one is caused either by a contracting of the carpel tunnel, or by the increase in volume of the synovial sheaths, the causes being able to be multiple. A recent study shows that the intensive use of the keyboard and the mouse is a possible cause.
