Carolyn Bennett
honourable the Carolyn Bennett (born the December 20th 1950 with Toronto, Ontario) is a political woman Canadian.
Doctor of formation, it followed his occupation in the capacity as family practitioner to the private clinic Bedford Medical Associates with Toronto, of which it was itself the founder. She was already president of the Medical Staff Association off Women' S College Hospital and also professeure associated with department of the family and Community medicine of the Université of Toronto. She was member of the boards of directors of Havergal College, of Women' S College Hospital, the Ontario Medical Association and Medico-legal Society off Toronto.
She fought to save Women' S College Hospital of Toronto, battles which inspired it to launch out in policy.
At the time of the general election of 1997, it is elected appointed Toronto-native district of St Paul' S; she is subsequently re-elected with each federal election, in 2000, 2004 and 2006. She was minister of state with the Public health of 2004 to 2006.
In 2006 it presents its candidature for the direction of the Liberal party of Canada to succeed Paul Martin. However, the September 15th, it announces that it withdraws race and grants its support to Bob Rae.
It is also the auteure of Kill gold Cleans? How Canadians Edge Remake to their Health System , published in October 2000.
Her husband Peter O' Brian is a known Canadian scenario writer.
