Carol Danvers

Carol Danvers , more known like Miss Marvel , is a super-heroin belonging to the universe of Marvel Comics. It was created by Roy Thomas and Gene Colan in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 (March 1968).

Appeared under its true identity at the same time as Captain Marvel, it accompanied it in its adventures. Attracted by Captain Marvel in the first episode, it acquired its capacities with its contact. It carried a red and black costume, similar to the second costume of Captain Marvel and had its own title in 1977. The first time pulled about between its human identity and its Kree share, she managed to find a balance. After having joined first once the avengers, it fell mysteriously pregnant. After an accelerated pregnancy, it left with its " fils" , Marcus, misadventure of Kang/Immortus in another dimension.

It reappeared in one year of the Avengers, amnesic and without capacity: at the time of a combat against Malicia, its memories, personality and capacities were absorbed by the mutant one until the point of no return. If Carol Danvers managed to regain its memories, it remained marked forever by this experiment. It rejected in addition the avengers not to have known to see that it in fact had been controlled by Marcus, experiment which it had undergone like a rape, and left the group.

Removed by Broods during a forwarding in space with X-Men, Carol was used as guinea-pig with various experiments of which one equipped it with the power of a star; it took the nickname of Binary then. She played a crucial role in the combat against the groups, by putting a term at the threat of the Queen of Broods. She left the team however when Malicia, not managing to control the memories which she absorbed, request assistance of Charles Xavier. Binary the Earth left to join Starjammers.

More recently, it joined the new training of the Avengers, fraîchements returned of dimension Heroes Reborn. However, Tony Stark started to have suspicions as for the attitude of Carol. It proved that Carol lost little by little its capacities of Binary and sank in the acoolism. A disastrous mission against Krees the évinça of the group of the Avengers. Its drink problem worsened to a combat against Ultimo at the sides of iron Man. It then agreed to join the Alcoholics anonymouses and surmounted his addiction. It found the Avengers at the time of the attack of Kang against the Earth and played a determining role in the conflict, not hesitating to kill the unpleasant known one under the name of Maître to obtain the means of fighting Kang.

By uniting the Avengers and in contact with the X-Men, it used the names Binary and Warbird , and changed several times of costume. Its second costume, blue and marked of a yellow flash, were inspired by that of Captain Marvel Junior, created by Fawcett Publications.

Recently, during the Civil War, Carol joined the party of Iron Man and contributed to its victory. It now directs the new team of Avengers: the Mighty Avengers.

Capacities

Its DNA having been modified by a machine Kree, Carol Danvers has superhuman attributes, like a resistance, an endurance and a physical force good beyond the human limits.
It can absorb and handle any type of energy. One has it déju considering flying, emitting destroying gusts and to surround themselves by a field of protection. It is insensitive with the attacks based on electricity.
