Carob granulates
The seeds of carob , biconvex and very hard, whose size and weight are rather regular, were used as measuring unit in the ancient Egypt.
Exits of the Caroubier, their name is at the origin of the word Carat, which represented the weight of a carob seed, in the trade of the invaluable stones.
