Carnival in Coal
Carnival In Coal is a French group of Avant-garde metal which mixes the death, the black and the grind with all the musical genres furthest away from metal (Zouk, Disco,…).
History
It is into 1995 that Carnival in Coal is formed. Arno Strobl (song) and Axel Wursthorn (instruments) had played then together for 8 years in various formations " classiques" on Amiens. Two years later (in 1997) " leaves; Sramik" , their first demonstration under the name of Carnival In Coal. The objective of this new formation is to exceed the ordinary limits that the groups of metal are essential, to mix the most distant kinds, the whole while serving as the delirious texts often centered on the sex.
The reactions to the demonstration having been very good, the group leaves in 1999 its first album " Vivalavida" on the War label One Majors, quickly followed by " Cancan”, an album of recoveries transforming Morbid Angel into attraction of circus, making track of dance of Flashdance a mortal moshpit (" Maniac") and adapting Pantera for the diffusion out of elevator.
2001 should then be waited until to see appearing the 3rd album: " Fear Not Carnival In Coal" , then 2004 to see the group signing with Elitist/Earache and leaving " Prestige" collection; the year according to. The group then starts to think that it would be well to go to check since a scene the effect which their music produces on the public metal.
Year 2006: after having carried out its first steps vis-a-vis the public at the time of their very first live service in Killer Fest, at Chaulnes, on April 15th, 2006, Carnival In Coal start to connect the dates on the French roads throughout the year 2006 (with inter alia concerts of the passages to Hellfest, VS Fest…), like in Belgium, in Switzerland, and even as a Czech Republic (in first part of Sick Off It All and Dimmu Borgir at the time of Brutal Assault Festival).
At the beginning of September 2007, the group decides to put an end to the adventure.
