Carnicerito de Méjico

Jose González López known as “Carnicerito de Méjico” , born with Tepatitlán (Mexico) the March 19th 1917, died with Villaviciosa (Portugal) the September 15th 1947, was a Mexican Matador.

Presentation

He begins his career in Spain in 1930, participant in seven Novillada S of sharpened with Tetuán of mow Victorias (province of Madrid). He presents himself to Madrid as Novillero the August 5th 1930 at the sides of Shine Morals and of its compatriot Luciano Contreras, vis-a-vis novillos of the Ganadería of Martín Alonso.

He takes the alternate with Murcie (Spain) the September 13rd 1931, with like godfather Domingo Ortega and witness Jaime Noain vis-a-vis bulls of the ganadería of Miura. He confirms his alternative to Madrid the 18 of the same month with like godfather Manolo Bienvenida and witness Domingo Ortega, vis-a-vis bulls of the ganadería of gift Celso Cruz del Castillo.

He was regarded as courageous and skilful, notable Banderillero and good estoqueador . Of 1932 with 1935, it takes part in 20 to 30 coridas per annum. Starting from 1936 it torée almost only in Latin America, returning in Europe only in an occasional way.

The September 14th 1947, in the arenas of Villaviciosa, it is seriously wounded by the bull “Sombreiro” and dies in Villaviciosa the following day.
