Carlos Arias Navarro
Carlos Arias Navarro (December 11th 1908 - November 27th 1989) was the second and last president of the government of the general Francisco Franco, Caudillo of Spain.
Biography
Carlos Arias Navarro was already a senior official with the ministry for Justice before it joins the pro-Franco ones during the Guerre of Spain.
He carries out his career during the mode of Free carrying out it to the post of mayor of Madrid in 1965.
After the assassination of the president of the government, the admiral Shine Carrero Blanco, in December 1973, Franco names it at this station.
It is Arias Navarro which on television announces to the Spanish people the death of the généralissime Franco the November 20th 1975.
June 1st 1976, the king Juan Carlos replaces it by Adolfo Suárez to conclude the democratic transition.
In 1977, it joined the popular Alliance founded by Manuel Fraga, former minister of Free.
Thereafter, Arias Navarro leaves the policy forever.
He dies the November 27th 1989, at a few days of sound 81e birthday.
