Carloman II of France

Carloman II (867 - 884), king of the Francs of 879 with 884. He is the son of Louis II known as '' the Stammerer '' and of Ansgarde of Burgundy.

Biography

Its tutor was Théodoric de Vergy.
In 879, Carloman jointly becomes king with his brother Louis III with which it divides the kingdom in 880. It has the Aquitaine and the Burgundy. After the death of his brother in 882, he becomes only king to be controlled.

December 12th, 884, Carloman finds death after being involuntarily wounded by one of vassal during a shooting party in the forest of Bézu, the current forest of Lyons between Rouen and Gournay-in-Bray. Disappeared at age the ten seven years, Carloman does not have a heir. It is buried with Saint-Denis.
