Carlo Ruini
Carlo Ruini is noble Italian, born towards 1530 and died in 1598, famous for the single work which one knows of him and devoted to the Cheval: Anatomia LED cavallo, infermita, and suoi rimedii, opera… LED sig. Carlo Ruini, senator Bolognese, adornata di bellissime figure, the quali dimostrano tuta Anatomico di esso cavallo . This one initially appears with Bologna in 1598 then with Venice in 1602 and 1618 and 1707. It is translated in all the European languages, in French but in a partial way, as of 1655.
It is about the first modern work on the horses, which takes part fully in the rise of the anatomical studies of the 16th century. Its description of the Blood circulation is completely innovative and precise and constitutes a crucial step leading to work of William Harvey (1578-1657).
