Carlinhos Brown

Carlinhos brown is the pseudonym of Antonio Carlos Santos de Freitas, (born on November 23rd, 1962 at Salvador de Bahia in Brazil). He is at the same time singer, percussionist, type-setter, producer and stimulating culurel. He is the creator of the very known group of music Timbalada.

Biografia

The pseudonym seems to be a homage to James Brown and H.Rap Brown . With the beginning of the year 1980, Carlinhos Brown becomes one of the most required musicians of Bahia (Brazil). In 1984, he plays in the group Acordes Verdes, of Luiz Caldas. He was one of the creators of the style " Samba-reggae" and, in 1985, it takes part in the disc Estrangeiro of the group of Caetano Veloso

In the years 1990, it created the group Timbalada.
