Carl Gustaf Wrangel
The count Carl Gustaf Wrangel was born the December 13rd 1613 with Skokloster. He was the last major Swedish military actor of the Guerre Thirty Year old.
He began his military career with the Bataille of Wolfenbüttel (1641) and of Leipzig (1642). Its successes quickly made him climb the ranks and found in 1646 commander-in-chief of the Swedish armies in Germany. He proved his capacity by coordinating his military movements with his ally Turenne.
He made the person in charge of principal Swedish successes during the First War of North (1655-60). During the minority of Charles XI, Wrangel belonged to the Council of Regency and chaired the Council of War. It always supported the alliance of Sweden with France.
