Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Claus

Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Claus is a German zoologist , born the January 2nd 1835 and dead the January 18th 1899.

He studies with Marbourg and Giessen near Rudolf Leuckart (1822-1898). He teaches in Marbourg, with Würzburg, Göttingen and Vienna. He directs the station of marine zoology of Trieste. Crustacean specialist in the S, it founds the modern classification of this group.
