Carl Fredrik Hill
Carl Frederik Hill , (May 31st, 1849 - February 22nd, 1911) came into 1911 from Lund small town from Sweden to Paris to familiarize themselves with the painting of Corot and Daubigny and to discover the sites where they had painted. From 1874 to 1875 it goes to Barbizon where it meets a group of friends, Ladislas Pàal, Munkàcsy and max Liebermann but in autumn a window of its workshop falls to him on the head it must undergo an surgical operation. It carries out marine and underwoods influenced by the impressionism which it presented to the Living room, but after the first success in 1875, its sendings of 1876 and 1877 were refused. These disappointments which touched a disproportionate ambition (it wanted the largest landscape designer of its time) and mournings of his/her sister and her father shook his psychic health. His/her friends frightened by the terrifying aspect of its painting thought that care had become necessary, they were to then destroy the production that Hill reserved for the World Fair and of which there remain only the last men . After two years spent in the private clinic of Doctor Emile Blanche in Passy it returned to Scandinavia in 1880 and will live thirty more years in the enfermement family one of its native house with Lund. The practice of painting having been to him interddite, the drawings with the lead pencil or colors accumulated, one does not count any less than four thousand where appear: fantastic landscapes, animals, water falls, trees, lions, elephants, erotic or infernal scenes, fantasmées arhitectures. His/her sister will destroy all that she judged obscene. By thus inventing images but also a made syncretic language of Swedish, of French and traditional gréco-Romans or Eastern languages for the writing of a large manuscript preserved today at the University of Lund, it created, solitary demiurge an incredible, single, tragic world.
