Carl Czerny

Carl Czerny is a Compositeur autrich IEN, born with Vienna the February 20th 1791 and deceased in this same city the July 15th 1857
His/her father, Wensel Czerny, excel pianist, taught art to him to play of this instrument. Thanks to these lessons, Carl knew and played by heart a multitude of parts of the large traditional Masters. Of 1800 with 1803, he is the pupil of Beethoven, near which he takes courses which will appear invaluable thereafter. Its teaching gifts were very quickly detected and, as of the 15 years age, it can give in its turn lessons of a significant quality, which makes of him a much in demand professor.
It gave only few concerts: he preferred to devote himself to the composition and the training of his pupils, among whom appear celebrates it Franz Liszt and the Reine Victoria. It is besides Czerny which was on the initiative of a meeting between Beethoven and the Liszt young person, meets who was for memorable Liszt, and during which the latter amongst other things carried out in front of Beethoven one of works of the Master.
Even if some of its works are charming with the ear, Carl Czerny is especially known to have written innumerable technical collections (900 opus !), which always does not shine by their musical quality. One will retain in this respect " Hours of the matin" who recover a series of studies to increasing difficulty, studies with which one often associates, in the training of the traditional piano, very known method of Hanon for the loosening of the fingers.
It seems that its principal obsession of Czerny was to peel the technical difficulties of the work of Beethoven. It in addition left invaluable comments on the interpretation of pianistic works of Ludwig van Beethoven, of which he was a large interpreter.
