Carl Clemens Bücker
Carl Clemens Bücker (* February 11th, 1895 with Ehrenbreitstein close to Coblentz, † March 3rd, 1976 with Mölln) was a Pilote, originator of planes and German contractor. It became universally known for its apparatuses of stunt-flying and schooling developed in the years 1930 Bü 131 and Bü 133.
Its life
Carl Bücker was born in 1895, his father was the doctor of staff Dr. Georg Bücker and his/her mother Luise, born Ladner. It made its schooling with Münster then with the college Kaiserin Augusta of Coblentz. It finishes its schooling in 1912 between as raise-officer in the imperial marine with Kiel on April 1st of the same year. It finishes its formation like teaches vessel ( Leutnant zur See ) and engages as officer of the watch on the steamer Kaiser Karl der Große (Charlemagne). In 1914, it trains pilot and carries out missions starting from List (on the island of Sylt), Helgoland and Zeebrugge. It is then transferred to the center of test of Hydravion S ( Seeflieger-Versuchskommando ) of Warnemunde where it meets the originator of planes Ernst Heinkel. Bücker leaves the army in 1919 and tries its chance during some time like Transitaire on a Cotre in the Baltic.
About 1920, he emigrates in Sweden and works there as pilot, then as adviser and test pilot near the Navy. He acquires Swedish nationality later one year and founds in Lindigö close to Stockholm with the assistance of Ernst Heinkel the company Svenska Aero AB which will manufacture under license Heinkel planes thereafter. In 1927, Bücker builds the general-purpose plane Svenska Pirat, then the plane school Svenska Falken and finally the hunter Svenska Jaktfalk which will be built in 18 specimens and will remain in service in the Swedish air force until 1941.
Its company must file for bankruptcy its in December 1932 and Bücker turns over to Germany where it founds in Berlin Johannisthal on October 3rd, 1933 the company Bücker Flugzeugbau GMBH . The chief of the research department, Anders J. Anderson, which followed it to Germany draws the Bü 131 Jungmann, which is a certain international success but is been sulky by RLM. It is only after this plane was voted by plebiscite abroad that Luftwaffe made use of it to train its pilots. The same adventure arrived at the following model, the Bü 133 Jungmeister. These two types of apparatus continue to fly nowadays.
As from 1935, the Bücker company is implied more and more in the effort of war. It must start by manufacturing 85 specimens of the competitor apparatus Focke-Wulf Fw 44 and ensuring the maintenance and repairs of reconnaissance aircraft He 46. Later, it also manufactures sailplanes of freight DFS 230 and elements of the Stuka Ju 87 and hunter Bf 109.
In 1939, Bücker is again success with its Bü 181 Bestmann because this plane becomes the apparatus of formation and standard drive of Luftwaffe. In April 1945, Bücker leaves for Hamburg little before the arrival the Red Army . It will join later Bonn where he will be dealer of Saab in Germany during some time. Its attempt to make buy by the Luftwaffe news of the Bundeswehr the plane Safir which has just drawn his/her friend Anderson at Saab fails. Only Lufthansa buys of them two for the training of her pilots. In co-operation with the company Josef Bitz of Augsburg, towards the end of the year 1950, it tries without success to launch the manufacture of a small series of Jungmann and Jungmeister.
His wife Hermine, born Jungbeck, dies in 1965. Bücker spends the last years of its life in a hearth to Mölln-Lauenberg. He dies on March 3rd, 1976 and its body rests from now on in Coblentz in accordance with its last wills.
