Carl Bosch (born the August 27th 1874 with Cologne, dead the April 26th 1940 with Heidelberg) was a Engineer and German Chimiste.
Carl Bosch made his studies at the technical university of Charlottenburg (today technical Université of Berlin) then to the Université of Leipzig of 1892 to 1898. In 1899 it starts to work within BASF. From 1908 to 1913, it develops the proceeded Haber-Bosch in collaboration with Fritz Haber. After the First World War, it works on the oil and the synthesis of Méthanol by chemistry high pressures. In 1925, Bosch is one of the founders of IG Farben, of which he is president of the board of management as from 1935.
In 1931, it is colauréat with Friedrich Bergius Nobel Prize of chemistry for the development of chemistry high pressures.
