Caridina multidentata

Caridina multidentata (synonymous: C. japonica ) is a species of common Crevette in Aquariophilie.

Description

Caridina multidentata has a body translucent, grisâtre, greenish with brownish, coloring varying according to the medium and from the food mode. Several alignments of dark points extend in parallel on the body, since the head to the tail. A clearer opaque line, blanchâtre, extend on the back from the head to the tail, sometimes underlined of a darker line on both sides.

This shrimp is dépouvue grips. Its size varies from 4 to approximately 5 cm, the males remaining smaller and more ends that the females. These last present an important cavity made up under the abdomen by the pléopodes, where the eggs incubate before the expulsion of the larvae. In the males, the pléopodes do not form a cavity under the abdomen. Certain descriptions give a report on a form different from the spots at the two sexes.
