Carency
Carency is a common French, located in the department of the Pas-de-Calais and the area Nord-Pas-de-Calais. It forms part since 1972 of the Communauté of agglomeration of Lens - Liévin (Communaupole) which gathers 36 common S, is 250 000 inhabitants.
It is also the name of the brook which constitutes the course upstream of the Deûle and which crosses the village.

History
The seigneurery of Carency was allotted to the 14th century with a branch junior by the Bourbon it Marche, whose members took the name of " thereafter; princes de Carency ".
