Cardiff Arms Park

The Arms Park is a sports complex, located at Cardiff with the Wales. It includes or included various sports equipment:

- Old the Arms Park , where sporting events take place since the middle of the XIXe century. History

The site draws its name from a inn-relay of station, the Red House , built in the middle of the XVIIe century, renamed Cardiff Arms Hotel in 1792, then Cardiff Arms while becoming simple a pub .

The first sporting confrontation, a match of cricket, takes place on its site in 1848 and the first match of Rugby in 1874.

In 1877, the Cardiff RFC, founded in 1876, plays its first match there, against Swansea.

The first platform (300 places) there is high in 1880.

In 1883, the stage accommodates its first international meeting: Wales beats Ireland.

In December 1905, Arms Park is the theater of the only defeat of the legendary team of the All Blacks at the time of its some two years round throughout the world (3-0). In 1996 and 1997, Arms Park accommodates the first two finales of the Coupe of Europe.
