Carcariass is a French group of Death metal technical and melody.

History

Carcariass is a group of Death Metal created in 1991, originating in Besancon (France). Name CARCARIASS comes from " Carcharodon Carcharias" , Latin name of the Large white shark.

In 1994, the group recorded its first demonstration entitled " Ancestral War" from 20 minutes, consisted of 4 songs and 1 intro. This kickoff made it possible the group to acquire a certain fame and allowed him to play in the concerts with various groups, in particular with the Italian group Sadist, at the time of their French round in March 1995, of which Carcariass ensured the first part.

Since 1995 the group evolved/moved in a register Death Metal brutal and melody, with some influences Thrash which could make think of the Swiss group Coroner. Then, since 1997, the group evolved to a more technical and melody approach of its Death Metal.

In 1997, the group leaves its first CD (9 titles) heading " Hell One Earth". In the tread, the group occurs a little everywhere in France with regional groups like in first part of the group of Black Metal English Cradle off Filth with the Dairy in Strasbourg in April 1997.

In 1998, the group signs at Impacts Records and records its second CD, heading " Sidereal Torment" with the Impuls studios in Belgium. And connects the concerts in France, Switzerland and Belgium with groups like Nostromo, Alastis, No Return, Impaled Nazarene,…

In 2002, the group signs at Adipocere Records and leaves the album " Killing Process". Album recorded with studios LB-LAB with Lille with the levers Stephan Buriez, leader of the group Loudblast. The group turns then in Western Europe and plays in many mythical rooms.

In 2004, Jerome Lachenal, Swiss group Your Own Decay, joined the group as a ryhtmic guitarist, which improves their scenic services considerably.

Since 2006, the group put its first two albums in free remote loading on are official site.

Currently, the group composed 8 new songs for its next album which should leave in 2007.
