Carbonatite

The carbonatite is a Volcanic rock which contains at least 50% of Carbonate S. the carbonitic lava is very low in Silice and rich in carbonates. It extrèmement fluid at relatively low temperature (approximately 500 to 550°C) and is extrèmement spouted out black. Nevertheless it is rougeoyante when the luminosity drops and bleached very quickly once cooled, its minerals deteriorating with moisture. The carbonates using its composition are the carbonate of Calcium (Calcite), the carbonate of Magnésium (Dolomite), the carbonate of Fer and of Magnésium (sidéro - Magnésite) and carbonates it Sodium. The formation of carbonatites is still unexplained. Few carbonatite layers exist in the world and only the volcano Ol Doinyo Lengaï currently emits some.
