Caracas
Caracas is the largest Capitale and Ville of the Venezuela. It is with horse on two States because it belongs to the District Capital of Caracas in the municipality of Libertador (of which it is the chief town) covering 433 km ², and also extends on the State de Miranda. It is located at the north of Venezuela, near the Caribbean Sea in a valley surrounded by mountains of almost 2.130 m, between 760 and 910 m above the sea level.
The agglomeration counts 4,8 million inhabitants today.

City at the bottom of a valley, it is surrounded by Bidonville S ( barrios ) of which Petare, in the east, on the hillsides. On the other hand a whole slope remained nonconstructible, one speaks about the “green lung” of Caracas. Fortunately, because the motor vehicle traffic is incredible there… of density, out of stoppers and another pollution.Certain hills are reserved for the elite and the middle-class which thus took refuge in ultra districts supervised and locked to avoid any intrusion.
Caracas is the financial and commercial center Venezuela.
History
- It is founded in 1567 under the name of Santiago de León of Caracas by the Spanish explorer Diego de Losada.

Caracas gave rise to the general Francisco de Miranda (1750) like with Simon Bolivar (1783), revolutionary liberator of the South America.

the March 12th 1812, an earthquake destroys the city.

During the first part of the 20th century, due to the flourishing economy thanks to the Oil, Caracas became an economic center of most important in Latin America, as well as a turntable between the Europe and the South America. At a certain time, the Concorde came each week to its airport, thus giving a geographical and economic importance to the city.

Transport
At the harbor level, the city is served by the seaport close to Guaira.
At the air level, Caracas is served by the International airport Maiquetía ~ Simón Bolívar its larger commercial Aéroport located at a few km of the city. However, this one has three other small airports gathered in the agglomeration.
Moreover, Caracas counts a modern subway builds in 1983.
A railway line of suburbs of forty kilometers is in the course of construction between Caracas and Cúa by I.A.F.E
