Capitonidae

The family of the capitonidés (or Capitonidae ) includes/understands the Barbican S, Barbion S, bearded S and Cabézon S. They are robust arboricolous birds, of small size to moderately large (9 to 35 cm), with the strong nozzle and the sharp-edged nails. One finds them in all the tropical areas, with greatest diversity in sub-Saharan Africa. They live in the raised forests, zones and the undergrowth.

Capitonidés are subdivided in 6 subfamilies, the first 2 African, 2 the following Asian ones and the 2 South American last:
