Capendu

Capendu (occitan: Camppendut ) is a common French, located in the department of the Aude and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called Capenduciens.

Geography

The commune is located on the Vignoble of the Mountain of Alaric which belongs to the Vignoble of Corbières.

One finds potteries going back about 20.000 years in the Mayrac locality. One finds the traces of a Roman camping to the site of the mill of Castling LED dié.
