Capanée

In the Greek Mythology, Capanée (in Greek old Καπανεύς / Kapaneús ) is one of the chiefs argien S of the Guerre of the seven chiefs, who came with Polynice to put the seat in front of Thèbes.

It was struck down in front of Thèbes by Zeus, irritated of its contempt for the gods. Eschyle, in the Seven against Thèbes , evoked this pride.
