Capécitabine
The capécitabine is an anti-cancer drug which belongs to the family of the Fluoropyrimidines. It interferes with the growth of the cells which multiply quickly. Its originality holds in the fact that it is about a drug which can be taken by oral way over several days uninterrupted, unlike the intravenous forms which are of intermittent administration.
The capécitabine is inactive, however once absorptive it is transformed on the level of the Tumeur. Active in many Cancer S, the capécitabine is especially indicated in the breast cancers which did not answer the traditional treatments.
Undesirable effects
The undesirable effects are the diarrhea, nauseas, the vomiting, ulcerations on the level of the Gencive S and the mucous membrane of the mouth. More rarely, falls of the Plaquettes, white globules and red globules are observed. A particular disadvantage, which requires a reduction of amount, is consisted the appearance with the Paume of the Main S and with the plant of the foot S, of Ulcère S, bulbs, pains and rednesses.
