History
The canton of the Mée-on-Seine was created starting from the Canton of Savigny-the-Temple by decree of February 27th, 1991, because of demographic strong growth of the conséqutive area to the establishment of the new city of Sénart, and was représené at the General advice for the first time in 1992.
