The canton of Zoug is represented at the Swiss Parliament by business lawyer Peter Hess, 58 years in 2006, tax adviser for great fortunes. Former president of the Swiss National council until 2001, the Christian democrat Peter Hess sat in parallel in forty-eight boards of directors. Some of its companies were based with Panama and the British Virgin Islands. In 1999, it failed in a voice close being elected minister by his parliamentary colleagues.
