Canton of Thurgovie

The Thurgovie (in German ) is a Swiss Canton, in the North-East of the country, separated from the Germany by the Lac of Constancy.

History

Geography

The canton is bordered in north by the lake of Constance. The southern border skirts the Canton of Zurich and the Canton of Saint-Gall is in the west.

The canton is entirely crossed by the the Thur, river to which it owes its name.

Economy

Half of the national production of Pomme S is worth the nickname of “Mostindien to him” (the Indies of must).
