Canton of Säntis
The canton of Säntis is an old Swiss canton which existed between 1798 and 1803. It belonged to the administrative units introduced by the Swiss République. The canton was formed from the territories of Saint-Gall, the District of Rheintal and both Appenzell. One allotted to him the name of the most important mountain of the area: the Säntis. Its chief town was Saint-Gall.
It was divided in 1803 between the Canton of Saint-Gall and the Rhodos-Interior demicantons of Rhodos-External Appenzell and Appenzell.
