Canton of Riom-West
The canton of Riom-West is a French administrative division department of the Puy-de-Dôme.
Recuttings of the districts intervened in 1926 and 1942 do not have affected the canton of Riom-West.
Geographical composition
The canton of Riom-West , whose Chef-lieu is the commune of Riom, joins together the common :
- Enval,
- Malauzat,
- Marsat,
- Mozac,
- Riom (fraction of commune; the communal part in the west of the streets commercial and clock),
- Volvic.
In January 1790, apart from the single canton of Riom (divided today into Riom-Is and Riom-West), it had been instituted a canton of Volvic also gathering communes of the current canton of Riom-Is; it was removed under the Consulat in 1801.
History
