Canton of Pithiviers

The canton of Pithiviers is a French administrative division , located in the department of the Loiret and the area Center.

The canton of Pithiviers was attached, since 1800 (an VIII), with the District of Pithiviers. The recutting of the districts intervened in 1926 removed this district and attached 3 of its cantons, of which the canton of Pithiviers, with the Arrondissement of Orleans. The new cutting of 1942 recreated the district of Pithiviers in the state where it was before 1926.
