Canton of Mans-South-Is

The canton of Mans-South-Is is a administrative division French located in the department of the the Sarthe and the area Pays of the Loire.

Geography

This canton is organized around the Mans in the Arrondissement of Mans.

Urban canton in the south of the mancelle agglomeration. It comprises working cities of the inter-war period (quoted of the Pines), the historical heart of the old village of Pontlieue, zones of collective habitats dating from the years 1960 (Ronceray-Glonnières) or the more recent operations of town planning (Vauguyon them Sources).

The south of the canton is marked by a green zone within which are the circuit of the 24 Hours of Mans and the commune of Ruaudin.

Robert Jarry was named honorary General adviser of the canton by order of the prefect of the January 7th 2003.
