The canton of Limay is a French administrative division , located in the department of the Yvelines and the area Île-de-France.
It is a very contrasted territory, at the same time industrial and rural.

Geography
The canton of Limay, of a surface of 130 km ² approximately, includes/understands two definitely different parts:- along the the Seine, a narrow and low alluvial plain correspondent with the major bed of the river;
- more in north, an undulating part, of an altitude varying from 150 to 200 m, corresponding to the south of the French Vexin. This part is included/understood besides in the perimeter of the Regional natural park of French Vexin.
Economy
In edge of the Seine, the territory is strongly urbanized, in which the residential zones and industries alternate. It forms a quasi-continuous agglomeration of Follainville-Dennemont in the west until Juziers in the east, and which continues beyond towards Meulan and Poissy. The great transportation routes there are found: secondary road D191, Railway Paris - Mantes of northern bank of the Seine, private or public harbor installations, of which the fluvio-maritime port of Limay-Porcheville which depends on the Port authority of Paris.They is there that are the industrial parks, with in particular the cement factory of Gargenville-Juziers, the oil terminal (ex-refinery) of Issou-Gargenville, the thermo plant EDF of Porcheville, the Aciérie electric Alpa de Limay, and various industries, of which processing centers of Déchet S industrialists and careers.
The northern part of the canton, entirely included/understood in the regional natural park, very wooded, more slightly populated, is dedicated to the traditional Agriculture and sylviculture, the craft industry and the Tourisme.
