Cantonal elections 2008

In accordance with the law of January 31st, 2007 instituting the function of substitute, the candidatures will have from now on to be presented in the form of tickets.

The cantonal election takes place on March 9th, 2008 for the first turn, and if necessary, on March 16th, 2008 for the second turn.

On the right, Marie-Francoise Guen, general adviser UMP outgoing, declared on June 16th, 2007 that it would be candidate with her succession.

On the left, the Socialist party has invests on October 29th, 2007 Henri Morvan, assistant of the mayor of Landerneau and vice-president of the community of communes, like candidate. Its replacing is Marie-Therese Merdy, associated with the mayor of Plouédern. The Red and Green Movement of Landerneau is represented by Sandrine Meur, municipal adviser of Landerneau, with Rene Keromnès, city council man of Saint-Divy, for substitute.
