Cantaloup

The cantaloup is the name of two varieties of melon.
In Quebec, one pronounces cantaloupe , which condemns Yvon Delisle and Camil Chouinard. The Québécois Office of the French language also discourages this pronunciation, resulting from English, in his Grand terminological dictionary.
According to the Office of the French language, Latin names Cucumis melo and cantalupensi are used usually for the identification of the fruit, even if it rather indicates the plant from which it is resulting.
