The PowerShot G9 is a numerical Camera manufactured by Canon.

This apparatus is the successor of popular the PowerShot G7. It is different from G7 from some of its features.

PowerShot G9 in action

The beach speeds available goes from 15s to 1/2500s. On the other hand all these speeds are not available in all the modes. The automatic modes and priority with the opening do not make it possible to use exposure times higher than 1s. To go beyond that, it is necessary to pass in priority mode at the speed (TV Mode).

In the other modes that TV, when the selected opening would imply an exposure time higher than 1s the symbol 1" flicker in red on the screen and the image appears definitely under-exposed. To correct the exposure, it is necessary to change the parameters of sensitivity, opening or, as mentioned above, to pass in Tv mode.
