Canon Fodder

Canon Fodder is a Video game of strategy/action developed by Sensible Software and published by Virgin Interactive in 1993 on Amiga and Atari ST. The play was related to DOS and game consoles in 1994.

Gameplay

The player directs a small team of soldiers whom it directs using a cursor. He can thus indicate a direction to them, and while they move to make them draw in other directions. It is possible to divide its men into several separate teams. The play is composed of missions, they-even sometimes subdivided in phases. The lives and the gameover are managed in manner traditional but are equipped with a particular form: on your premise a hill, named is " Hill" boot;. To each new mission, a certain number of young recruits comes to join your army and wait the foot of the aforesaid the hill (each one with its own name, most known being the 3 first: Jools, Jops and Stoo). When you lose a recruit on mission, a tomb appears on the hill and a new recruit is enlisted in its place (for the following mission or new attempt at that in progress).

The play bathes in a humorous environment.

To note

  • the play knew a continuation in 1994, Canon Fodder 2 .
  • the play would have been interdict in Germany (and would be it still).
